Six Senses Con Dao: Spa Review

I had the opportunity to experience the spa treatments whilst at Six Senses Con Dao. My GEM (short for Guest Experience Maker), Huy, checked on our preferred spa services prior to the visit and made the booking and arrangements for us.

Located at the end of the Six Senses private beach, the spa is located beside a majestic mountain, in the midst of luscious greenery. The treatment rooms and pavilions are furnished with bamboo and wood, creating a relaxed, soothing and zen environment.

The spa comprises of indoor treatment rooms and outdoor treatment salas, dip pools, as well as steam and sauna facilities.

The Six Senses Spa extended the impeccable service standard and keen attention to details that we have experienced at the resort, as the staff checked on our preference in terms of music, scent and strength of massage. My therapist also inquired on my preferred area of concentration.

I did the 60-minute Signature Massage, with the aim to “Energize”. My therapist was gentle and the rhythm of her strokes was slow, gentle and soothing. She was patient in trying to ease the tightness of my back, allowing me to feel very at ease and was lulled to complete relaxation.

My companion did a 30-minute Natural Vietnamese Facial, followed by another 30-minute Indian Head Massage. Natural ingredients were used throughout the facial massage that left the skin refreshed and soothed. Fruity ingredients were used for the facial, which started with cleansing, light scrub, mask and massage. The treatment smelt fresh and mildly aromatic. This was followed by a 30-minute head massage where the therapist skilfully administered with light, yet firm pressure on several points on the head and forehead, making it hard to resist a quick slumber.

After the massage, we were served ginger tea and some dried fruits. We lazed by the deck chairs in front of the dip pools and admired the now familiar view of South China Sea. This was the perfect stress relief from the hectic city life. The spa was quiet that afternoon and I could stay around as long as I wish to meditate or make use of the facilities.

In fact, the tranquility was something I truly appreciate during my stay at Six Senses Con Dao. The resort was spacious and quiet, the service staff were always ready to help but never intruding, the surroundings was serene. This is indeed an ideal sanctuary that’s not too far from Singapore where we could indulge in the almost untouched nature and attain some quality time with our loved ones.

Thanks Six Senses Con Dao for giving me an opportunity to this memorable experience!

Disclosure: This stay was hosted by Six Senses Con Dao, and I paid for the air fare from Singapore to Vietnam.
