Explore Singapore #5: 4 Spots To Visit At Northern Singapore

I realised I haven’t posted anything at all in 2018 and the quarter has just flown past.

If you haven’t planned anything for the weekend, do consider planning a road trip up North in Singapore! I personally thought the farm land as well as wetland nature over there is quite different from the rest of the City, and simply awesome ingredients to spice up the ‘Gram!

#1: Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

Scenic view from Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

Start your morning with a walk in the flora and fauna at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. The walk is quite leisurely and most of the pathways are well-constructed boardwalk. Nonetheless, you still get to be up-close with the nature, eg. spiders, birds, mudskippers and if you are lucky, crocodiles!

#2: Bollywood Veggies

Best place for brunch at the local “farm to table” concept cafe, followed by a walk in the farm! The owners have put up a number of quirky quotes around the farm, making the walk an amusing experience!

#3: Qian Hu Fish Farm

As therapeutic as the SEA Aquarium, except more localised, you could befriend many fishes at Qianhu. If your interest is piqued, you could even buy them home for your little aquarium.

You can kiss the Luohan!

#4: The Animal Resort

Popular amongst families, the Animal Resort near Seletar is like a farm where visitors could interact with farm animals and poultries as well as feed them. I guess in the concrete jungle of Singapore, this may be one of the closest experience to farm life that we can get here.

Even adults enjoy feeding the ducks!
